上海音乐厅位于上海市黄浦区延安东路523号。 上海音乐厅原名南京大戏院，建于1930年，当年3月26日开业。 1950年更名为北京电影院。 1959年再更名为上海音乐厅。上海音乐厅作为全国第一座音乐厅，1959年后的数十年中，一直是上海音乐活动的中心之一，历届上海之春音乐节、国际广播音乐节都以此为中心场所；众多的中外著名音乐家、乐团先后登临音乐厅舞台展现艺术风采，著名的小提琴家艾萨可,斯特恩、萨尔瓦多,阿卡多、伊戈尔奥伊斯特拉赫、祖克曼、郑京和，大提琴家马友友，钢琴家拉罗查、傅聪、殷承宗，巴伐利亚广播交响乐
