byPasmoi27·Pasmoi27 avatar

The earliest example of a sleeping car (or sleeping car, as it was then known) was probably on the London & Birmingham and Grand Junction Railway between London and Lancashire, England. The sleeping car was made available to first class passengers in 1838.
